In the studio with Vicki Pollack (mom) without whom none of this would be possible~

I’ve been working with clay since 2009 and it’s been one of my favorite coping mechanisms in dealing with MS symptoms, which I’ve had since 1988. It’s really perfect because when I’m sitting in the studio, working with clay I’m feeling productive, creative and happy. For the most part my symptoms are movement based, so when I’m “making” I’m not thinking about what I can’t do. But spasticity affects me no matter where I am. It’s when all of the muscles tighten at the same time and it’s very painful.

In 2016 I starting using medical marijuana to help ease the effect- hence potsforpot and it generally helps. Originally by selling my work I was helping to offset the costs of medical marijuana - which was hard to get and much more expensive at the time.

Now my fundraising is for all of my medical expenses - but that does not make for a clever URL :) From assistive devices, to therapies my insurance doesn’t cover and the mounting co-pays when your month is all about dr. appointments and Rx costs-it adds up.

But thankfully my months are also about clay!

My clay art makes MS easier to deal with and the sale of my work has made treatment more affordable. How cool is that?

So thank you to all of those who have supported me and appreciate the art I’m making – It make me feel so good… which also helps MS. :)
